Facial Shapes – Heart Face Pt. 2

Hello ladies, before we start on part 2, I received some requests from my readers that needed to be added to my articles. Looks like I was already on the right path but needed to go deeper and broader. I have taken your comments and worked on them and I hope to be as broad as possible.

Hairstyles : Your crowning glory cannot be ignored. Try the following tips out – A Face framing bob with a blunt cut produces a square effect while framing layers slim a rounded heart shape. Loose flowing locks with side-swept or asymmetrical bangs soften sharp edges. A cute pixie that’s high on top with some hair framing the sides can create a slimmer or longer effect. Play up the ombre dimensions for a lengthening effect. Medium thick yet long bangs (between eyelid and brows) create a sexy effect. If too short, it looks childish, but the right length adds sex appeal in an all grown up way. The Long Bob or Lob shows off not only the face but the body beneath it. So if you have a beautiful body, this is the style to show it off. Use a deep side part to broaden or widen an ascetic heart shape. Thankfully, these styles can be done with natural hair, permed or unpermed. Braids and crochet extensions can be used for a natural look.

Makeup : To create an oval face, contour both sides of the forehead and the cheeks to reduce width and make face more proportional. Use highlighter to broaden the chin and jawline to balance the face. Draw attention to those amazing cheekbones with bronze blush to highlight yet soften. This shape, like the diamond, tends to have the eyes as a focal point. Play them up to draw attention from sharp or rounded edges. Don’t forget those full, pouty lips. The Ombre look was made for you. Don’t disregard rich nudes too, as they make your lips naturally wider which turns the almost childlike fullness into a sexy lusciousness. Use soft smoky eye to soften sharp edges, daring eyeliners colors or elongated and dramatic eyeliner to highlight eyes.

Jewelry : To soften edges, wear rounded jewelry. Don’t forget as curvy girls the size must be appropriate. So unless your office is really conservative, stay away from barely-there jewelry. Studs and hoops should be large, rounded, triangle or tear drop. Drop studs are those that have the smaller stud on top attached to a larger pendant underneath. Your best shapes are round, tear drop and triangular. If triangular, make sure the heavy part is on the bottom as your chin can balance out the heavy bottoms.  Stay away from V-shaped necklaces as these will only make your face look longer and sharper. If your face is a bit more padded though, then you can wear large and elaborate pendant necklaces to add length to your face. But your best bets are chokers and rounded chains close to the neck. Remember to wear them thick enough not to look like we are wearing wispy threads. Curved large pendants or thick rope designs widen sharper edges.

Eyewear : For eyewear users, including it in your fashion choices is very important. If you do all this work and your eyewear is wrong, it ruins everything because it is the first thing people see. Eyewear for heart shape should be mostly rounded to soften the edges. But for plus-size girls, you might need it a bit thicker and with some edge to slim and square up that gorgeous face. Bottom-heavy frames add width and weight to that pointy chin. A broad forehead can be reduced with low temple frames. The perfect shape is the Oval which creates the much sought after oval illusion.
